Banton Land Surveying provides accurate, dependable surveying services for contractors, engineers, real estate professionals, construction companies, and homeowners.
Banton Land Surveying performs all phases of land surveying, combining proven surveying principles with modern technology. Matt’s professional experience spans a wide range of project sizes and complexities, from small residential surveys to large, government-supported infrastructure projects. While his work has been primarily based in the Pacific Northwest, he has also worked internationally on projects in Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Mozambique. His background includes experience on not only helping homeowners and communities with local improvements, but also road construction, airport projects of varying sizes, shipping and railroad ports, and solar energy facilities, allowing him to bring practical insight and adaptability to every project.
Family, Faith & Community Service
Family and faith are central to Matt’s life and professional philosophy. He has lived in Terrebonne since 2023 with his wife, Jaden, and they have 4 children. They are committed to a Christ-centered life and business, striving to serve others with integrity, humility, and care. Jaden is Matt’s business partner as well as a Doctor of Pharmacy, and the family is actively involved in the local community.
Matt is an Eagle Scout and has served as a Scout leader since 2017, with a strong focus on youth outreach, leadership development, and STEM education—particularly introducing young people to land surveying as a profession. The principles emphasized through Scouting—honesty, integrity, service, and leadership—strongly influence how Matt conducts business and serves his community.
In addition to Scouting, Matt is an elected member of the Board of Directors for the Terrebonne Domestic Water District, supporting responsible infrastructure and protecting valuable community resources.
Professionally, he serves as a Board Member of the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon for 2025–2026 and is currently the Central Chapter President. He also serves on a national board representing the Scouting Program for the National Society of Professional Surveyors and has been working with U.S. Senators and Representatives in Washington, D.C. since 2024 to advocate for positive change within the land surveying profession.
While Central Oregon is home, Banton Land Surveying is available to travel throughout Oregon, providing trusted surveying services grounded in accuracy, integrity, and service to the communities it supports.
